  • The Accounting Manager will have the responsibility to help the controller with various accounting tasks. These tasks include preparing financial statements, performing various daily & monthly accounting transactions, monitoring & reviewing other daily & monthly accounting activities and tracking information pertaining to company assets and income.


  • Manages AP Supervisor and Payroll Supervisor as well as the general ledger
  • Oversee department operation to ensure adherence to company practices and procedures
  • Train and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product
  • Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions
  • Maintain database of fixed assets
  • Equipment repair review for capitalization
  • Audit / process of monthly credit card invoices (visa), wright express invoice & expense reports
  • Journal entry preparation, documentation & input as needed
  • Monthly inter-company entries / billings
  • Provide back-up support for A/R, A/P, cost reports, daily cash
  • Assist with WIP assembly, review & prelim analysis
  • Preparation / review of monthly account reconciliations
  • Cash, prepaid expense & other accounts receivable, inventory, inter-company accounts, trade A/R and A/P, fixed assets, various accrued liabilities, capital leases/lease liabilities, debt schedules, and WIP cost/billings
  • Operating expense review & analysis
  • Non-job cost analysis
  • Unclaimed & outstanding checks review & resolution
  • Develop accounting related policies, processes and procedures
  • Perform internal audit assignments as requested
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation of the corporate annual audit report
  • Assist with the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasts
  • Provide financial analyses as needed
  • All other duties as assigned by management


  • Ability to lead and mentor assigned direct reports
  • Ability to confidently present information to internal employees
  • Demonstrate proactive communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
  • Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work for subordinates
  • Possess strong personal computer skillset including MS Office and accounting software
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills


  • A qualified candidate should have five or more years of accounting related experience in a major company or a division of a large corporation
  • Candidates with certified public accountant or certified management accountant designation preferred
  • Candidate with previous construction industry experience preferred
  • Candidates with previous experience working for a privately held company preferred


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required; however, candidates with significant accounting or other finance related experience will be considered in lieu of education

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to remain seated for long periods of time in a standard issue desk chair
  • Ability to tolerate prolonged exposure to computer screens, mobile phone screens
  • Ability to read documents and materials in hard and soft copy form (either naturally or with corrective lenses)
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments when required
  • Ability to move from one location to another within and around locations
  • Ability to understand the speech of another person
  • Ability to frequently bend to file and maintain files
  • Ability to occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
  • Ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident
