Position Scope:

  • The position is responsible for the overall development of the construction schedule for company projects to include the logistical support of manpower, equipment, product installation and overall construction efforts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Upon successful bidding of a project – the Project Scheduler will commence on detailing the preliminary CPM to create an active project CPM schedule
    • Active projects schedules will require a detailed analysis of both the MEC proposal documentation and project (contract) documentation to establish total contractual scope
    • From the contract scope of services, establish a well-defined and comprehensive list of work activities
    • Working with both PM and Operations logically link the detailed work activities in such a manners as to provide a logically and linked CPM schedule
      • Detailed work activities
      • The tasks should include Shop / Field works, material deliveries and other measurable milestones
      • They should be logical and system oriented (Dehy, Compressor Block, and Separator etc.) and should support the Superintendent in planning and monitoring the work
      • It should link Shop Fabrication to Field installation and include measured milestones such as delivery, installed, tested etc.
    • This phase of the schedule development is perhaps the most challenging and will take a coordinated effort between Scheduler, PM and Operations o One the detailed schedule has been developed and accepted by the client, Operations and the PM, the Schedulers will participate in the maintenance of the schedule
      • Maintaining the schedule will require participation in the weekly project review meetings which at times may require travel
      • Modifications to better reflect actual from base line (anticipated) tasks and scope
      • Subcontractor updates and modifications
      • Prepare and support any claim events such as delays, scope adjustments, inclement weather etc.
    • Project Schedule – client updates – provide updated and revised scheduled as defined by the contract documents
    • As project develops towards completion, work with Operations and PM to develop a punch list / closeout schedule further defining tasks necessary to close out the contract
      • This work should include both onsite and contractual responsibilities

Experience:

  •  1-3 years of Primavera 6 construction scheduling experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced Primavera 6 skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented atmosphere
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel experience
  • Highly motivated, self-starter

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Primavera training certifications preferred

Travel:

  • Travel is required on an as needed basis

Physical Requirements:

  • The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.  This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done
  • Sitting for long periods of time, sometimes up to 4-6 hours
  • Exposure to computer screens and cellular telephone screens
  • Walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location to another on the job site
  • Visually seeing equipment operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)
  • Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing or sitting for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work
  • Lifting 25 lb. objects occasionally
  • Carrying 25 lb. objects occasionally
  • Adapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to sometimes adverse weather conditions
  • Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments and holidays as required
